History

Kobbelv Vertshus Inn opened in 1983. It was built as a hotel, but between 1983 and 1986 it was the conference centre and residence for the employees of Statkraft, during the construction of the power station on the river Kobbelv. The new route of the E6 road around Leirfjorden was completed in 1986, and the inn started functioning as a tourist establishment from that point. The Kobbelv power station was completed in 1988, and Kobbelv Vertshus Inn catered exclusively for tourists, offering overnight stays and food. Our café is famous for its good, homemade traditional food.
