Kobbelv Vertshus Inn is a good place to stay if you like fishing in rivers and freshwater. You can purchase the necessary fishing permit for Kobbelva, Kobbvatn, Skar and Sørfjord here.
Kobbelv
The river Kobbelv runs out into Leirfjorden 2 kilometres from the inn. This is a salmon river and angling here is allowed between the 15th of June and the 1st of September. The fish most angled for are sea char and sea trout. Kobbelv is considered to be excellent for fly fishing. It is broad with quiet, relatively shallow greenish water. The stretch where salmon migrates is 7 km long.

Lake Kobbvatn
Angling and trolling is allowed on Lake Kobbvatn between the 15th of June and the 1st of September. There are large stocks of inland char, sea char, mountain trout and sea trout. It is possible to fish from a boat. The best spots for shore fishing are the mouth of Kobbelv river and the area near Kobbelv Power Station.

Skar og Sørfjord
Skar and Sørfjord is an area stretching from Sørfjorden to Rago. The area includes 20 large and small lakes with stocks of mountain trout. There are also three lakes with the possibility for inland char fishing.
The area is easily accessible 3 km from Kobbelv Vertshus Inn via Lake Sørfjordvannet. It is recommended to cross the lake by boat. Boats are accessible for everyone with a fishing permit. Skar and Sørfjord are situated on the other side of the lake Sørfjordvannet. It is possible to rent a cabin by the Austervann lake. Fishing is allowed all year around.
